Philips Healthcare
Between 2015 and 2021, I worked as a Senior Design Lead at Philips Healthcare, Eindhoven leading projects within Image Guided Therapy, Diagnostic Imaging (Digital Pathology) and Patient Monitoring domains. My role spanned across leading design projects with multiple stakeholders to being a bridge between design organisation and businesses as well as a hands-on designer conducting user research, developing concepts, prototyping, testing and such. Due the the nature of the projects, I cannot share the specifics of these projects, if you would like to know more please get in touch.
Here are some of the main topics that I was busy with;
Image Guided Therapy
Radiation Free Imaging Systems
New ways of visualizing devices such as FORS technology

Future Role of Extravascular Ultrasound Intra-operatively
Exploring future hybrid imaging scenarios where X-Ray and Ultrasound merge together within minimally invasive procedures
Accurate and Easy to Use Treatment Devices
Working within development of new treatment devices such as stent and balloon deployment systems.

Next Generation Digital Pathology
Digital pathology is the future of diagnosing diseases faster and more accurately. Next step will be to automate using smart algorithms to a point where the disease can be detected even before its visible to human eye.
I have been leading projects in order to achieve this vision designing digital pathology scanners and services

Diagnostic Imaging
Future of Patient Monitoring
How to provide better patient outcome while decreasing the workload on clinicians during a patient’s journey starting from ED all the way to OR and discharge

Care Outside Hospital / Wearables
In order to provide a more extended care beyond hospitals and ease the load on healthcare systems, wearables are playing a crucial role to provide a better patient outcome. See an example project I have worked on;
